Wood Wins US Pipeline FEED Contract

UK-based consulting and engineering firm Wood has won the front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for the DeLa Express pipeline project in the United States. This long-haul, large-diameter liquids-rich natural gas pipeline is being developed by DeLa Express, a subsidiary of Moss Lake Partners, to transport natural gas from the Permian Basin in Texas to the US Gulf Coast and international export markets.

Pipeline Project Details

The pipeline is designed to have a capacity of over 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas and liquids per day. Wood will design approximately 645 miles (1,000 kilometers) of the 42-inch diameter mainline pipeline and 139 miles of associated laterals. The company will also manage Burrow Global, the subcontractor responsible for compressor station work.

Strategic Importance of the Project

The DeLa Express pipeline will act as a critical infrastructure project, delivering natural gas and liquids to high-demand markets, including the largest liquefied natural gas demand center in North America, located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, near the Sabine River Corridor. This project will address the growing energy needs of the region and enhance energy export capabilities.
