TotalEnergies China Country Chair, Yu Yongjian, emphasized the company’s diversified involvement in the entire energy industry value chain, from offshore oil and gas exploration to retail service stations, lubricants, and battery and energy storage solutions.

As part of its expansion, TotalEnergies has successfully developed over 1 gigawatt of distributed photovoltaic projects in China, significantly boosting the country’s renewable energy capacity. The company is also focusing on accelerating wind energy projects in collaboration with local partners.

TotalEnergies has recognized China’s push towards sustainable transportation and the rising popularity of electric vehicles. The company has formed a joint venture with China Three Gorges to develop high-power charging infrastructure for electric mobility.

As the world’s third-largest LNG player, TotalEnergies has supplied over 5 million metric tons per annum of liquefied natural gas to China in 2023, reinforcing its multifaceted contributions to the nation’s evolving energy landscape.
