Cutting-Edge 3-Phase Distribution Cabinet
Swiss power electronics manufacturer, Studer, introduces a game-changing three-phase, 16 kW energy distribution cabinet named the “infra solar autarky hub.” Tailored for buildings, this innovation seamlessly integrates up to 24 kW of solar power and 30 kWh of battery storage.
Key Features and Autonomy Rates
At the core of the “infra concept” lies the next3 rack, serving as the intelligent distribution hub. This self-sufficient system ensures an 85% yearly autonomy rate from the grid for smaller facilities. The device operates without external meters or accessories, providing a backup capability for off-grid functionality if needed.
Solar Inputs and Battery Options
Designed with versatility in mind, the system accommodates two 12 kW inputs for solar panels and utilizes 5 kWh batteries from renowned Italian manufacturer Weco. Users have the flexibility to install between one and six batteries, with Studer recommending a minimum of three for optimal performance.
Grid Connection Flexibility
The “infra solar autarky hub” boasts a double transfer switch, eliminating the need for external backup setups. Additionally, it supports alternative AC sources like generators. The grid connection is optional, not mandatory, allowing the system to seamlessly switch to off-grid mode during blackouts, ensuring uninterrupted power to connected loads.
Compact Design and Robust Build
Measuring 2.2 meters in height, 60 cm in width, and 1.05 meters in length, this innovative system is compact and efficient. With a weight of 816 kg (including six batteries), it incorporates air cooling for temperature control and meets IP54 or IP55 protection standards, ensuring durability and reliability.
Studer’s “infra solar autarky hub” emerges as a comprehensive solution, embodying cutting-edge technology for sustainable and resilient solar-plus-storage applications.
