Sol Systems has significantly expanded its clean energy footprint by acquiring over 2 gigawatts (GW) of utility-scale hybrid solar and storage projects in the Midwest. This move, in strategic partnership with Omaha-based energy giant Tenaska, underscores Sol’s commitment to enhancing its Infrastructure + Impact approach, which focuses on sustainable energy solutions with significant community and environmental benefits.
Project Development and Operational Goals
The acquired portfolio, which spans multiple Midwest states, includes projects each exceeding 100 megawatts (MW). These are scheduled for completion and operational status between 2028 and 2029. Tenaska will partner with Sol Systems through the construction phase before transitioning to Sol for ongoing operations.
