Simtel, a prominent Romanian engineering and technology company, has achieved a significant milestone by completing the largest photovoltaic power plant installed on a single building in Romania. This project, carried out in collaboration with Grunman Energy, marks a substantial contribution to the country’s renewable energy landscape.
Strategic Collaboration for Renewable Energy
Simtel executed the project for Grunman Energy, a Pavăl Holding subsidiary dedicated to generating energy through photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of Dedeman logistics centers across Romania. The strategic collaboration aims to harness solar energy for sustainable power generation.
Record-Breaking Project Timeline
The successful completion of the photovoltaic power plant on the roof of Dedeman’s logistics center in Turda is noteworthy for its record-breaking timeline. Achieving this milestone in just seven months underscores Simtel’s efficiency and expertise in implementing large-scale renewable energy projects.
Technical Specifications and Environmental Impact
The photovoltaic power plant boasts an installed capacity of approximately 4.1 MWp, utilizing around 10,000 photovoltaic panels covering a vast area of 40,000 square meters. The plant is anticipated to generate over 4,500 MWh of energy annually, contributing significantly to carbon dioxide emission reduction by over 2,100 tons each year.
National Power Supply Integration
Designed to supply power to the national electricity transmission network, the Turda project positions Grunman Energy as an official electricity producer following the plant’s commissioning. The success sets the stage for future installations on Dedeman’s logistics centers across Romania.
Ongoing Collaboration and Expansion Plans
Simtel’s role extends beyond project completion, as the company will also handle the maintenance of the photovoltaic panels. This comprehensive approach involves online monitoring, corrective measures, and annual maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Financial Market Presence and Growth
Listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange since July 2021, Simtel has garnered attention for its strategic initiatives in renewable energy. With a current market capitalization of approximately RON 336 million (EUR 68 million), Simtel continues to play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable solutions.
The successful collaboration between Simtel and Grunman Energy not only marks a significant achievement in Romania’s renewable energy sector but also sets the stage for future endeavors that contribute to the country’s transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
