“[Jatigede power plant] will support other sources such as from Cirata and Saguling. Later the electricity will merge into one [network], entering the Java-Bali interconnection system,” remarked Yuyu Wahyudin, head of Jatigede Dam Management Unit (UPB).

The introduction of the floating solar farm complements the existing hydroelectric power infrastructure at Jatigede Dam, which boasts a capacity of 110 MW. The construction of the Jatigede floating solar farm will be spearheaded by PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of the state-owned electricity company PLN.
