Balancing Renewables and Coal: India’s Strategy
Singh stressed the importance of coal-based thermal power to protect against geopolitical disruptions, acknowledging the necessity to balance renewable and coal power generation. Currently, average power supply in India stands at 23.50 hours in urban regions and 22 hours in rural areas.
