Evalue, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, is set to significantly enhance New Taipei’s EV infrastructure by installing 1,200 charging stations across the city. In partnership with the New Taipei City Government, Evalue CEO Hsu I-cheng announced that these stations would be strategically located at 229 sites, offering a variety of outputs including 7 kW, 11 kW, and 180 kW. This initiative underscores the growing trend of electric vehicles and the importance of expanding charging networks to meet increasing demand.
Safety and Innovation at the Forefront
New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih emphasized the importance of safety in the expansion of EV infrastructure. He highlighted that all public parking lots would be equipped with fire blankets specifically designed for electric vehicles, as well as a 24/7 one-touch emergency notification system. This system will ensure immediate response in case of any issues, with a power cut-off protection mechanism activated automatically if a problem is detected.
Evalue, which launched Taiwan’s first combined solar, storage, and charging station in 2020, continues to lead in innovation within the EV sector. The company was also the first to introduce a fee-based charging model and a dedicated charging station app, setting new standards in Taiwan’s EV market.
Future Plans and Broader Expansion
Looking ahead, Hsu I-cheng stated that Evalue plans to further expand its network of charging stations in key locations such as parks, hotels, and scenic spots. By the end of 2026, the company aims to have 3,700 charging stations installed across Taiwan, bolstering the country’s transition to electric mobility and supporting the growing number of EV users.
This ambitious expansion reflects Evalue’s commitment to advancing Taiwan’s green energy infrastructure and solidifying its position as a leader in the EV charging market.
