Energy Source Secures USD1.2M Investment from inMotion Ventures

Boosting Lithium Battery Solutions in Brazil

Energy Source, a São João da Boa Vista-based startup in São Paulo, Brazil, specializing in lithium battery repair, reuse, and recycling, has secured a significant USD1.2M investment from InMotion Ventures.

Accelerating Growth and Global Expansion

The investment aims to propel Energy Source’s growth trajectory and facilitate its expansion into international markets, catering to a broader clientele seeking sustainable lithium battery solutions.

Transformative Solutions for Lithium Batteries

Under the leadership of CEO and Founder David Noronha, Energy Source focuses on providing second-life stationary lithium batteries for various sectors, including solar energy, telecom, and security systems in Latin America. The company’s repair services extend the lifespan of existing batteries, reducing the environmental impact and cost associated with replacement.

Impressive Environmental Impact

Over the last seven years, Energy Source has made significant strides, producing around 10 MW/h of batteries, recycling 700 tons of non-reusable batteries, and repairing an additional 5 tons. This effort has prevented the emission of approximately 1,600 tons of carbon into the atmosphere.

Commenting on the investment, David Noronha emphasized, “Our partnership with JLR and InMotion Ventures is the ideal pathway for realizing our ambitions. Together, we will harness collective expertise and resources, paving the way for impactful solutions in fleet electrification and advancing the electronics industry.”
