Delegation Explores Green Energy Partnership in China

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Delegation Tours Wansheng 20MW Photovoltaic Project

A delegation from Pakistan’s Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently visited the Wansheng 20-megawatt rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Chongqing, China. Led by Tu Yongguo, the General Manager of PowerChina Chongqing Engineering Cooperation’s Overseas Business Division, the delegation explored various aspects of the groundbreaking project.

Unveiling Sustainable Power Solutions

During the tour, the delegation examined key facilities, including the rooftop photovoltaic array, inverter operations, and the prefabricated equipment cabin. This firsthand experience provided valuable insights into the practical application, benefits, and processes involved in sustainable power supply through rooftop distributed photovoltaic systems, as reported by China Economic Net (CEN).

Acknowledging the Significance of Green Energy

Delegation head Imran Muhammad expressed admiration for the project, emphasizing the crucial role of green energy in mitigating carbon emissions and addressing energy scarcity challenges. The project boasts an impressive annual electricity generation capacity of 14 million kilowatt-hours. Notably, this is equivalent to saving 40 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by a substantial 90 million tons.

Pakistan’s Solar Potential

Imran Muhammad’s acknowledgment of the project’s significance aligns with Pakistan’s vision for harnessing its abundant solar resources. With immense potential for the development of the photovoltaic industry, Pakistan stands poised to make significant strides in green energy initiatives.

In conclusion, the CDA delegation’s visit marks a significant step toward international cooperation in the field of green energy, showcasing the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships in sustainable power solutions.
