DAS Solar has commenced full-scale production at its 10GW high-efficiency module project at the Jingshan Base in Hubei Province, China. This project spans approximately 98.84 acres and includes a 10GW N-type high-efficiency module production line and a 2GW photovoltaic cell production line.
Significant Investment and Economic Impact
The base, built in two phases, has seen a total investment of 2 billion yuan for the first phase, covering 49.42 acres. By the end of 2023, the project had produced 3.18GW of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules. Upon completion of both phases, the annual output value is expected to exceed CNY 10 billion, making it the largest PV module manufacturing base in Central China. This project highlights the importance of solar energy investment in the region.
Enhancing the Solar Energy Market
Yong Liu, Chairman and President of DAS Solar, emphasized the project’s role in boosting local economic development and enhancing the industrial chain. “The successful implementation of the Jingshan project facilitates local economic growth and accelerates industry development,” Liu stated. The base completed phases I and II within 20 months, achieving an annual production capacity of 10GW N-type high-efficiency modules. This development is set to influence energy market trends significantly.
Strategic Partnerships and Local Integration
DAS Solar has signed a strategic supply chain cooperation agreement with the Jingshan Economic Development Zone. This partnership aims to establish a modern supply chain platform that connects globally while promoting the high-quality development of the PV industry. The company has focused on decentralized manufacturing, establishing production bases across East China, North China, South China, Northwest China, and Southwest China. This strategy localizes production, delivery, and services, providing customers with a more efficient experience.
Sustainable Development and Future Prospects
The Jingshan Base, with its phase I operational, boasts an annual output value of CNY 3.5 billion and an average monthly output of CNY 500 million. It is the first base in Jingshan with an output value exceeding CNY 3 billion, fostering the mutual development of upstream industries such as glass and aluminum frames for modules. DAS Solar recently completed its first batch of residential PV demonstration projects in Jingshan.
