China has experienced substantial growth in its clean energy sector in the initial ten months of the year, aligning with the nation’s commitment to sustainable development.
Solar Power Soars by 47%, Wind Power by 15.6%
According to data from the National Energy Administration (NEA), as of October, China witnessed a remarkable 47% year-on-year expansion in the installed capacity of solar power, reaching an impressive 540 million kilowatts. Simultaneously, wind power capacity stood at approximately 400 million kilowatts, marking a 15.6% annual increase.
Overall Installed Power Generation Capacity Reaches 2.81 Billion Kilowatts
The NEA reported that the cumulative installed power generation capacity in China reached around 2.81 billion kilowatts, reflecting a substantial 12.6% year-on-year growth.
China’s Commitment to Renewable Energy Investment
Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to renewable energy, major solar power companies invested a substantial 269.4 billion yuan (approximately $37.86 billion) in the first 10 months. This represents a remarkable 71.2% surge compared to the previous year.
