Kiwa PVEL is the leading independent test lab for the downstream solar and energy storage industry. Each year, it publishes the PV Module Reliability Scorecard, which offers long-term reliability and performance data crucial for developers, investors, and asset owners when selecting PV modules. The scorecard is based on the PV Module Product Qualification Program (PQP), established by PVEL in 2012. This program provides comprehensive empirical data for PV module supplier benchmarking and project-level energy yield and financial models.
The reliability testing covered Boviet Solar’s Vega Series™ Bifacial double glass and Bifacial transparent back modules, as well as Gamma Series™ Monofacial PV modules. These modules underwent accelerated stress testing and characterization under PVEL’s stringent PQP standards.
