The Hydrogen Headstart Program, announced in the 2023-24 May Budget, is being funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). ARENA, in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment, and Water, co-designed the program. The government plans to announce the funding recipients in the second half of the next year.
