At the recent Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024, hosted by the Sterling One Foundation and the UN, Alternative Bank showcased its innovative financial model designed to drive catalytic capital across Africa. This year’s summit, themed “Reimagining Progress: A New Blueprint for Sustainable Growth in Africa,” gathered key stakeholders from both public and private sectors to discuss sustainable development strategies.

During the summit, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, underscored the importance of catalytic capital in fostering sustainable growth. Sterling One Foundation’s CEO, Mrs. Olapeju Ibekwe, elaborated on the summit’s objectives, stating, “ASIS aims to build and scale partnerships, attract increased impact investment, and advocate for supportive policies.” This approach seeks to create an environment conducive to sustainable development initiatives across the continent.
