Accelerating Towards a Sustainable Future
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) proudly announces the operationalization of 1,000 MW solar energy capacity at the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat. In less than 12 months, AGEL has installed around 2.4 million solar modules, showcasing its commitment to India’s ambitious goal of reaching 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
AGEL’s Remarkable Progress
With this achievement, AGEL surpasses an operational capacity of 9,478 MW on its journey towards the target of 45,000 MW by 2030. The rapid progress reflects AGEL’s dedication to contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy landscape.
Water Neutrality and Green Job Creation
AGEL takes a proactive stance on water conservation by deploying waterless cleaning robots for the entire solar capacity at Khavda. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal and addresses dust accumulation on panels, enhancing energy output in the arid Kutch region. The project is set to create over 15,200 green jobs over the next five years.
Leading India’s Renewable Portfolio
With a locked-in growth trajectory reaching up to 20.8 Gigawatt (GW), AGEL boasts the largest operating renewable portfolio in India, spanning across 12 states. Noteworthy among AGEL’s achievements is the development of the world’s largest wind-solar hybrid power cluster, a 2,140 Megawatt (MW) project in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer.
Adani Green Energy Limited continues to be a frontrunner in sustainable energy, making significant strides in solar technology and contributing to India’s green energy policies. As the company achieves operational milestones, it solidifies its position as a leader in the dynamic and evolving solar energy market.
